Potter 108 - A+ Certification Lab

Potter 108 Photo

Room 108 features older PC's for use in the ECET 110 computer architecture course. These computers are used for education in computer hardware as well as operating systems.

The machines available are older 500 MHz - 800 MHz Intel Pentium III and AMD Duron machines. Two versions of Microsoft Windows as well as one distribution of Linux are installed on each machine, allowing students to compare/contrast Windows 2000 and XP as well as Linux. Older/newer Linux distributions can also be experienced with boot CD's. The room also features older Pentium II machines available for disassembly and reassembly by students, providing a learning experience in computer hardware.

This lab is available for use by students upon request to the shop technician in Potter 304 during our normal hours of operation.
