Room 112 is utilized by both ECE and ECET classes in process control and power classes. The room includes eight Allen-Bradley PLC's. Each of these PLC's is connected to a Dell Optiplex GX400 (1.4 GHz Pentium 4) computer and can be programmed using Allen-Bradley RS-Logix 5.

Each workstation is wired with a variety of power supplies including two high-current variable DC power supplies as well as 120V and 208V three-phase AC. Each station also has a standard set of Tektronix lab test equipment including a two-channel 50 MHz oscilloscope, a function generator, a digital multimeter, and a three-output low-voltage (±20 volts) DC power supply. Finally, several of the benches are equipped with their own variable high-voltage AC/DC power supplies.

Throughout the room and in storage are a wide variety of process control and high-power components including DC and AC motors, variacs, a variety of transducers, relays and contacters, and high-current resistors and inductors. A number of "trainers" are also available which demonstrate specific concepts in the fields of process control and high-current switching and dimming.

This lab is available for use by students upon request to the shop technician in Potter 304 during our normal hours of operation.
